This part of the trail is located in a private part of the forest, facing the majestic Arenal Volcano. Our guide will point out indigenous rain forest plants and share his knowledge with you about their medicinal properties. At dark, after visiting the trail, we will continue to the observation point, which offers the closest and most direct lava flow vista. Relax, enjoy a drink and listen to the incredible sounds of the volcano. If the cloud cover is high enough, expect to see the dazzling fireworks from Arenal. Listen to a variety of frogs, toucans, and insects and watch thousands of fireflies. Head back to the hotel to relax and get ready for another exciting day.

Each bridge has a width of five feet, the widest such bridges in Costa Rica, each with a capacity of up to 80 people per bridge making them both the longest and strongest bridge systems in the Monteverde Cloud Forest. The Tree Top Walkways are suitable for people of all ages. After the walks we head back to our hotel and enjoy some free time for relaxation or personal activities.

After an early breakfast we take an exciting Cloud Forest reserve tour: Here it feels like walking in a grandiose green cathedral. Wind-sculptured elfin woodlands on the exposed ridges are spectacularly dwarfed, whereas protected cove Monteverde rainforests have majestically tall trees festooned with orchids, bromeliads, ferns, vines, and mosses. Poorly drained areas support swamp forests while parts of the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, dissected by deep gorges, have numerous crystal clear streams tumbling over rapids and waterfalls. The variable climate and large altitudinal gradient has helped produce an extremely high biodiversity. Spectacular wildlife includes the Jaguar, Ocelot, Baird's Tapir, Three-wattle Bellbird, Bare necked Umbrella bird and the famous elusive Resplendent Quetzal.
