We leave the small town of San Pedro de Atacama and head north for about 20 km until we reach the unique Salt Mountain Range. This is an important stop to see the grand natural vistas of Atacama Desert. Here at the Salt Crystal Mountain Range, located between the Andes and Domeyko Mountain ranges, we witness “Dinosaur” and “Death” Valleys. Once home to a great many creatures that are now extinct, yet their ghosts in the form of stories and legends still roam these beautiful landscapes. Here there are many lookouts with views of the mountain ranges and its volcanoes, while the magnificent dunes attract the adventurer’s spirit for some thrilling activities like sandboarding. Nestled within these valleys is the breathtaking “Moon Valley”. We will learn about the geological activity and the many factors of climate that took millions of years to form this unique mountain scenery. As we walk through the heart of the Moon Valley, we should be able to observe what nature has sculpted in the form of a natural amphitheater and the incredible rock formations such as the Three Marys viewpoint. You will learn about the many local indigenous legends that are now part of this landscape. We finish this experience while looking at the cliffs of Death Valley as the setting sun throws a fantastic light show of changing colours. Pick up & Drop off: Hotel Kimal
Temperature average: Summer (Dec – Mar) – 23 – 35 C (73 – 95 F)
Recommendations: Comfortable clothing and shoes, mineral water, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat.
Day-03: Calama (Tatio Geysers & Machuca)
Early this morning, we will drive to one of the most important geothermal fields in the southern hemisphere, not to mention that, at 4 300 m above sea level, this is one of the highest in the world. This geothermal field is known as the “Geysers del Tatio”. We will be amazed by its different geothermal manifestations such as water jets, steam columns as well as the magnificent natural environment of the Andes mountains. Moreover, you might be delighted by the pleasant water of a hot spring located in this area. On our drive back to San Pedro de Atacama, we will have the opportunity to spot vicuñas (cousin of the llama) in their natural environment, foxes and a variety of birds. Our mission is to snap the best moments in our memories or on our cameras. We will also stop at some viewpoints along this route. Our last stop is a visit to the unique local town of Machuca. Located at around 4 000 meters above sea level, this place hosts several llama, sheep and goats herds. Machuca is an authentic little town built mostly out of adobe houses and is home to a beautiful church built during the early 18th century.
Temperature at Tatio Geysers before sunrise: Summer (Dec – Mar) – 2 to – 4 C (35 – 24 F)
Recommendations: Comfortable, warm clothing and shoes to go up to the High Andean plains due to potential low temperatures, bathing suit, towel, mineral water, sunscreen. The night before, eat light and avoid alcohol.
Day-04: Calama – Santiago – Punta Arenas – Puerto Natales
After breakfast, we get you to the airport in time for your flight to Santiago. Pick up in Santiago and transport to your hotel.
Day-05: Puerto Natales Full Day Tour (Cueva De Milodon)
This morning we set out for the Cueva del Milodón, 24 kilometers north of Puerto Natales. The mylodon was a giant prehistoric ground sloth that once roamed these areas uncontested. Our route passes through the “Silla del Diablo”, a rocky structure which local imagination has turned into “the Devil’s Seat”. At the end of the visit, we continue along the new access road to the Torres del Paine National Park, where we can observe azure lagoons and spectacular mountain ranges along the way. We are surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Mirador del Lago Grey (view towards the Grey Glacier, the Macizo del Paine and the Lago del Toro). A couple of kilometers later it is possible to observe the dramatic ‘horns’ of Cuernos del Paine, gateway to the Lago Grey area. Here we can take a pleasant walk along the shore of Grey Lake.
Having taken in the incomparable scenery, it is time to drive off and take a moment of rest and, if you like, have lunch at a park restaurant.
At the end of this restful break, we begin the second stage of our visit to the Torres del Paine National Park, heading to the Salto Grande sector. We will visit the viewpoint of Lake Nordenskjold and continue enjoying amazing views on our winding route that brings us little by little to the region of Laguna Amarga. After admiring this pleasant spectacle, we will return to Puerto Natales passing by the Mirador del Lago Sarmiento, arriving at dusk.

– Entrance Fee to Torres del Paine National Park – Entrance Fee to the Milodon Cave
– Box Lunch and a Snack

Day-06: Puerto Natales Full Day Tour (Tour of Glaciers Balmaceda)
Tour of Glaciers Balmaceda & Serrano
Shared service with Bilingual speaking guide
We begin today’s exploration by sailing up the Señoret Channel towards Guanaco Island. If we look carefully, we might catch a glimpse of the small Magellan Dolphins (Toninas), also known as the “panda dolphins” due to their black and white colouring. We navigate past rocky walls where an important population of cormorants lives, continuing the trip to Punta de Lobos where we look and listen for its namesake wolves. Then we visit the cascade and cliffs where we hope to see condors. At each point of interest, the boat will stop for travelers to enjoy the scenery and attractions. The trip continues to the heavily glaciated Mount Balmaceda (2035 meters of altitude). We will disembark in Puerto Toro to begin the one-hour trek along the shore of the Témpanos lagoon, accompanied by our bilingual guide. Through a native forest of coihues, ñirres and ciruelillos, heading to the Serrano glacier, we will enjoy the contrast between the clear blue sky above us and the glacier’s icy path beneath us. On our return journey to our hotel, we will enjoy a typical creole lunch at an “Estancia” (ranch). After returning from a unique, wild and wondrous landscape, we finish our tour in Puerto Natales.
Day-07: Puerto Natales–Santiago
After breakfast, we check out and depart for the airport and your flight to Santiago.
Day-08: Santiago Full Day City Tour
Welcome to Santiago, a cosmopolitan city that beautifully fuses together the modern and the traditional. This tour will take you to visit the heart of the city and its emblematic sites such as the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, Santiago’s Central Postal Office and its Municipality. We will also visit the Moneda Palace, which is the government’s headquarters, as well as the traditional neighborhoods of the historic city center. The tour also includes a visit to the Santa Lucia hill, named Huelén by locals.
It is a real urban oasis in the center of the city. There we will learn more about Chile’s history and enjoy some of the best views in the city. After getting to know Santiago, we will arrive in Barrio Lastarria, famous for its cultural activities. The second part of the tour will take you to the eastern side of the city, to the financial heart of Santiago, known for its modern buildings, impressive glass skyscrapers and sculptures designed by prominent national architects.
For lunch you can enjoy a “Daily Menu” created especially by the chef of Doña Paula’s Restaurant at Santa Rita. Pair each dish with one of its incredible wines before starting the tour through the vineyard.
Immerse yourself in one of Chile’s cultural emblems: wine. In Santa Rita, one of the most traditional vineyards in the country, surrounded by the unique natural settings of Alto Jahuel, this tour will teach you about the history of Chile and its wine culture.
The tour begins in the vines, where in the mixed vine garden you can find out about the many different grapes that are grown there. You will experience the whole wine production process, passing through the wine cellars, the storage cellars and bottling plants. You will also be able to visit some of the old cellars built by French architects in 1880. Legend has it that 120 national soldiers sheltered there during a long and exhausting battle for Chilean independence. That is where the name of one of their most famous wines comes from. To cap it all off the tour ends with a special wine tasting session!
We return you to your hotel for overnight.
