To its South and East, it embraces the Amazon, while the Andean mountain range cuts right through the country. If you can imagine a rich, biodiverse country, that would be Colombia. On this trip, we visit its unique highlights including parts of the Andean Mountain range, the vibrant Capital – Bogota and the picturesque landscape of the Coffee Region. Here you can enjoy spectacular scenery while you sip some of the world’s best coffee.

Arrive at the Bogota Airport – Remember to get your visa on arrival. For Canadians there is a separate line at immigration. Once you are out, look out for our rep who will assist you to your hotel in Bogota. In the afternoon enjoy a guided walking tour through the historic district of the city admiring the Colon Theater, San Carlos Palace, SanIgnacio Church, Nariño Presidential Palace, Bolivar Square, the Capitol, City Hall and the Cathedral. Visit the famous Gold Museum and climb to Monserrate mountain by cable car (3,150 meters- above sea level) to enjoy a fantastic panoramic view over the city.
Note: The Gold Museum closes on Monday sand the Botero Museum on Tuesdays.


After Breakfast at the hotel we head out for an exciting adventure fifty kilometers north of Bogota to the town of Zipaquira, famous for its salt mines. There is a massive Salt Cathedral inside the salt mines considered to be a marvel of religious art. The Cathedral is located two hundred meters below the ground. After the visit return to Bogota in time to connect with your flight to Pereira in the famous Coffee Region of Colombia. Arrive and transfer to your hotel a traditional home-style residence also known as a Hacienda.


After breakfast, today the entire day is dedicated to explore the Coffee Region and its picaresque little towns. We will visit Rio Verde, Cordoba, Pijao, San Alberto and Buenavista. A hands on experience to visit a local coffee farm that allows you to understand the entire process from growing beans, picking, processing and roasting techniques is only topped by a freshly brewed cup of coffee. The coffee region is also blessed by its unique beauty and vistas of breathtaking scenery. You stop to visit the various little towns and understand how people live their daily life and why they decorate their colorful homes especially the doors and windows. We will stop for lunch at a traditional local restaurant. Return to your residence for overnight.

DAY-04 AM : COFFEE REGION PM : Fly to Bogota

After breakfast head out to visit the famous Cocora Valley. The valley is part of the Los Nevados National Park and home to the tallest palms in the world. These Andean wax palms are the national tree of Colombia and a unique species that can grow up to two hundred feet high. Once you enter the national park you have the option to take a short hike to discover the beautiful trail. If a hike isnot for you, hang out at the local cafeteria and enjoy the beautiful views. Part of our visits in the coffee region we will also visit the town of Salento, a major attraction in this valley. This small colonial town is famous for its handicrafts and unique architecture. After our visit we will return in time to take our flight back to Bogota. Overnight at a hotel near the airport.
